Cardiff Triathletes

Cardiff Triathletes was formed in 1984 by a small group of people interested in the, then, new sport of triathlon.

The objectives of the club are to encourage and promote the sport of triathlon in the Cardiff and the surrounding area.

The club is affiliated to the British Triathlon Federation via Welsh Triathlon and individual members are encouraged to join these organisations.

Bryn Bach Triathlon

on .

On Sunday Andy Longhair (Club Chairman!) and I made the journey up to Tredegar to compete in the Bryn Bach Olympic Distance Triathlon. A quick dip in the lake, 10 laps on a bicycle and a jaunt around the park (x3) makes for a good morning….especially when it’s warm and sunny! Yes, that’s right! Warm and sunny - Not raining!

Open Water Swimming

From Jeff:

Open water swimming Sunday morning anyone?

High tide is at 11:30BST (Yes, yes, I've added the hour!)

I went last week and it was toastie. After this week's sunshine it should be lovely and a nice "passive massage" for all of you who raced the Triple Super Sprints.

Aberavon Aquathlon

Written by Mark Suret on .

Have been thinking about doing this for a while - is anyone else going and could I get a lift? It's only down the road in Port Tabot and it's a 750m swim and then a 5k run, so short and sharp, although you could walk away being Welsh champion!

More details and an entry form are here.
