From Miles: It was the mother of all show downs after all.....
Torrid conditions in spain led to a race of epic proportion:..
Well, what a day. Started badly for Miles who suffered with the tension so started on an empty stomach!
The lake setting was awesome and with the 4k swim being a single lap the first turn at over a mile away in a straight line looked rather distant. Ian ahd a good swim to turn around the Bala result on Andy, but performance of the day probably went to Miles. Following coach Mikes advice he used a few sets of power sprints to find a suitable pair of feet and came out of the water 5th in category in 1.02.

Just over four weeks to the Tuska Sprint Triathlon, which is our Club's championship race for 2010. Looking at the entry list 22 club members have entered to date.

The third Parc Bryn Aquathlon is scheduled for Wednesday (not Thursday) 23 June 2010. Registration will be open from 17.30 to 18.30, with the race commencing at 19.00. The distances are a 750m open water swim followed by a 5k run and it's a great way to practice your open water swimming. See you there.

The Return of the £85 Running Voucher......... |

Having won the £85 running voucher in the raffle tonight for my Girlfriend and after a thought provoking drive home with some feeling of guilt towards club members who would have more need for a snazzy pair of new daps - I am happy to return the voucher back to the club for a re-draw. There is one condition that I would like to request for the return of said voucher and that is that the lucky winner would kindly exchange a nice box of chocolates for it. I can bring the voucher to swimming next Tuesday for this exciting re-draw to take place......... |
