Cardiff Triathletes was formed in 1984 by a small group of people interested in the, then, new sport of triathlon.
The objectives of the club are to encourage and promote the sport of triathlon in the Cardiff and the surrounding area.
The club is affiliated to the British Triathlon Federation via Welsh Triathlon and individual members are encouraged to join these organisations.
Please be advised that the time trial this Sunday will now begin at 9:30am (half an hour earlier than originally planned).
James and I will be there from 8:30am.
I'm probably going to do Movember again this year. Whilst trailing the internet for Mo ideas I stumbled upon this 10k run event being held in Bute Park, Cardiff, on Sunday 18th November @ 10am.
Anyone fancy entering? Post also on Facebook group.
I'm hoping to be back on my bike next week and, as I have a pretty clear calendar for a while, I'm planning on doing a regular ride on Saturday mornings- starting Saturday 27th October.
We will meet, as normal, at Maindy leisure centre at 9am. The ride will typically be 3-4 hours (50-70 miles) at a moderate pace (i.e. not slow, but not racing either!). There may, or may not be, a coffee stop (depends on weather, route and attendance!). The routes are likely to include some hills- some challenging. This ride will not be suitable for beginners, but aimed at people who find the surges in the faster group ride a little tough to keep up with but who can confidently ride in a group and want a decent training ride.
Hope to have some company! :-)
Meeting at the Juboraj for a 6.30pm start.
It will be as hard as you want to make it, with the idea of it not being about killing yourself!
Good luck to the half marathon runners tomorrow....hopefully see you for a recovery run?
As always, all are welcome...this will be a good start for newbies!
